Why Zero →1

Every business founder, no matter how successful, started their journeynot knowing everything.

Not every founder completed a business degree or MBA in order to begin.

All of them had a dream, an idea, a passion or a skill and took a leap of faith.

Zero →1 isn’t another startup course.

It is the Founder Operating System.

You don’t progress by watching more lessons. You progress by working on your actual business, taking action, gathering evidence and making better decisions about what happens next.

Too much information

You’ve probably got
enough tabs open already.

Google. YouTube. ChatGPT. Podcasts. Books. Courses. Advice from someone who’s “been there before”. All useful.

And somehow, you’re still the one left deciding what applies, what needs testing and what actually deserves your attention.

Zero →1 doesn’t give you more to consume. It helps you do something useful with what matters.

What is different

So, what’s different?

Zero →1 is built around doing the work of building the business, not finding new ways to keep you inside an app.

Start with your business

Generic advice starts with a subject. Zero →1 starts with what’s actually happening in your business and what you need to figure out.

Find out instead of guessing

An assumption can sound completely sensible and still be completely wrong. Zero →1 helps you test what matters and use what actually happens to make a better decision.

Keep what you learn

That useful customer conversation shouldn’t vanish into a notebook. The pricing test you ran last month should still matter when you’re making the next decision. Zero →1 keeps the context so what you learn can keep being useful.

Keep the decisions yours

AI can give you an answer. An expert can give you an opinion. Zero →1 helps you build your own judgement.

Comparison

Use the right tool for the job.

You don’t need to stop using Google, AI, courses or people you trust. We expect you to use them.

They just do different jobs.

A plausible answer can help you think.
Evidence helps you decide.

Can’t I just ask AI? Of course. We think AI is incredibly useful.

But asking “What price should I charge?” is not the same as finding out what customers will actually pay.

Zero →1 uses intelligence to support the work. It doesn’t replace the work.

The Founder Operating System

That’s why we built an operating system, not another content library.

Founder Missions turn questions into work.

Evidence connects that work to reality.

Founder Memory keeps what matters.

Founder Intelligence helps you make sense of what you’re learning.

The Founder Operating System brings those things together around the business you are actually building.

Fair questions

Fair questions.

What am I actually paying for?

Build a Business is a finite Founder Journey inside Zero →1.

You’re paying for the structured operating environment that helps you work through your business, generate and interpret evidence, preserve what you learn and build the decisions and foundations behind your Business Plan.

Build a Business is US$150 + applicable taxes.

Can someone else fund my Journey?
Yes. Organisations can sponsor founder access to Zero →1. The organisation funds the access, while you remain the Zero →1 founder and your decisions remain yours. Learn about Sponsored Founder Access →
Is this just another startup course?
No. There isn’t a library of lessons you need to finish before you’re allowed to start building. Zero →1 gives structure to the actual work of building and running your business.
Do I need to know how to run a business already?
No. You need to be willing to investigate what you don’t know, do the work and make decisions as you learn.
Is my idea developed enough?
You don’t need a finished business plan or a perfectly polished proposition. If you have a specific idea you’re genuinely ready to work on, that’s enough to start finding out what is real.
How much time will it take?
There isn’t a fixed number of hours you need to spend inside Zero →1. Some work is quick. Other work means going away, testing something, talking to people or gathering evidence before you come back.
Will Zero →1 tell me if my business will succeed?
No. And anyone who promises they can probably deserves a raised eyebrow. Zero →1 helps you test what matters, learn from what happens and make better-informed decisions about what comes next.
One useful way to find out

Got something you’re ready to take seriously?

Good. Zero →1 won’t promise the idea is brilliant. It will help you do the work to find out what you’re actually dealing with.

Maybe it works. Maybe it changes. Maybe you end up somewhere you didn’t expect.

There’s only one useful way to find out.
